Neverending Glam Story.

Ok - not never ending, but rather based on one of the best '80s movies ...

Recently, my husband and I went to a summer outdoor film screening in Prospect Park, Brooklyn of one of my favorite movies ever from childhood, The Neverending Story. It was wonderful - the nostalgia, the weather, and shared joy of the movie by fellow fans. I felt inspired to do a themed look based on the dear movie, and thought I'd share the details with you! Watch through until the last couple minutes of my movie so you'll catch a clip of the Childlike Empress herself, an all-grown-up Tami Stronach, introducing the film to us in the park that evening. It's kind of scary how time flies - have fun with the makeup and accessories while you can!

What's on my face?
1. Urban Decay Moondust Palette - color: Galaxy (so appropriate ;))
2. MAC lipstick in Stone (looks more grey IRL)
3. Urban Decay VICE Special Effects Long-Lasting Water Resistant Lip Topcoat in Reverb
What I'm wearing:
1. Headband from the W Store (online only)
2. Necklace by Athinalabella on Etsy
3. Ring by Spell Designs (online or boutique in Australia)

I sure geek out on this film and beauty products! Let me know what you think! I always respond to comments and love to hear from you.

Tutorial Tuesday: Inverted Popping Purple Eyes.

Welcome back, ya'll!

For this week's #TutorialTuesday, I was inspired to do a make-up tutorial recreating an inverted popping purple eyeshadow look. You can do this look with any color, but I think it makes for a vibrant spring/summer make-up combination to add a bright cherry red lipstick.

What's on my face (pictured below):

  1. NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette Brights using ×2 shades of purple: a soft violet and a deeper, bright almost neon purple shade (neither have names).
  2. MAC eyeshadow in Plum Dressing
  3. Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Light it Up

Option 1 for the final look - if you prefer to go with a bare lip, and let your eyes do all the talking.

The FINAL, final look (with "moxie" red lippie :)).

This look definitely gives you some moxie, either way you choose. What do you think?
Thanks for watching!

I hope you enjoy this look! Please comment below, and "Like" and follow me on Youtube.

Glitter Brows before the Ball!

Hey, pretty people! This latest make-up tutorial details how to do an edgy, high-drama, glowing, shimmery, glittery eye look - especially colorful glitter eyebrows - using products from Urban Decay, Make Up For Ever, and Mary Kay Cosmetics.

My husband, Ben, and I went to an annual gala at Cipriani Wall Street - if you have not been, I hope you get to go there one day, because it is stunning inside! A huge thanks to NYC photographer, Steven Rosen, for taking some professional shots of me there (below).

What's on my face:

  1. Urban Decay Cosmetics Moondust palette Lithium (gold) shade
  2. MAC Cosmetics lipstick Limited Edition from the Strength Collection in Strong Woman
  3. Make Up For Ever Medium Sized Glitter in N8 Pink
  4. Make Up For Ever Mix & Fix Setting Spray
